The trustees of Home-Start North Dorset are delighted to announce that we are changing our name to Home-Start Blackmore Vale.
We have taken this decision to better reflect the geographical area that we are currently working within (this year we have been supporting naval families living in South Somerset as well as families living in North Dorset), as well as providing further opportunities for us to grow and thrive.
The change of name will give the organisation more flexibility by removing the artificial border which we have previously worked within. It will enable Home-Start Blackmore Vale to seek funding from a wider range of funders and to provide much needed support to families in South Somerset, where there are currently no Home-Start services available.
There will be no change for families living in North Dorset who access our services. We will continue to provide the same high-quality support which is currently available, and we will aspire to helping even more families and adding additional services as we grow.
