Target for 2021-22
What are friends of HSBV?
Home-Start Blackmore Vale (HSBV) is also appealing for “Friends for Families” to come on board, a fund-raising initiative to prepare and fund new and on-going volunteer parents. Could you do a little extra by aiming to raise £120 (£10 per month) by the end of March 2022, while having a bit of fun at the same time.
There are lots of fund-raising ideas and activities including:
- book clubs
- bingo
- bridge, or chess matches
- home salons (spa/beauty/hair/nails)
- tarot reading and psychic salons
- home cinema evenings
- car boot sales
- local bake sales
- wine tastings
- sponsored walks or cycle rides etc.
The sky’s the limit; use your imagination to come up with something different.
You can contact our “Friends of Families” Coordinator Kelly, by filling in your details in the ‘Contact us’ form below, to talk through your idea and she can arrange for it to be put onto our webpage and social media pages to generate more support and gain more sponsors.

Other ways of being a Friend of HSND
We are always happy to hear from people who want to support us. There are many ways that you can do this as well as organising a fundraising event, sponsor a fundraiser or becoming a regular donor.
We are grateful for people to help out on a stall for a couple of hours at a local event or fun day, bake a cake when we need some or just spread the word about what a valuable service we provide supporting vulnerable families.
You could keep an eye on our News Page or our Facebook or Twitter pages, looking out for any local fundraising events which are coming up, attending them when you can or just spreading the word to let more people know about them.
If you would be happy for us to contact you, when we need any specific support on an ad hoc basis please let us know through the ‘Contact us’ page.
