Home-Start Blackmore Vale is now providing support to families in West Dorset following the recent closure of Home-Start West Dorset.
The independent charity, Home-Start Blackmore Vale, has stepped in, alongside Home-Start Wessex, to ensure that help and services are provided to families in need in the Dorset area.
With immediate effect, Home-Start Blackmore Vale has agreed to continue supporting existing and new families in Sherborne, Maiden Newton, Beaminster and the surrounding areas, to ensure that the full range of services can continue. Home-Start Wessex will cover the remaining areas of the county.
Carole Brown, Chair of Home-Start Blackmore Vale, commented: “It is very sad to see our fellow charity, Home-Start West Dorset, no longer able to provide the services they have done for the community and region over the last 15 years. However, we have made a clear commitment to continue this vital support and will work closely with families, and volunteers, to ensure we maintain this.”
