Home-Start Blackmore Vale is looking for someone to join our Trustee Board with the specific aim of becoming the third Chair in its eleven year history
Home-Start Blackmore Vale is overseen by a Board of Trustees (currently 8 in number) which ensures that standards are maintained, and that good governance is implicit.
We now need someone to join us in order to be in place to steer our work into the future when our current Chair steps down. He or she would work alongside the latter for a time to ensure a seamless handover of the Chairmanship. The role does not require any specific qualifications beyond an ability to lead the Board in its deliberations; to guide and support staff, particularly the Scheme Manager in their day to day work and to promote the well- established good name of the charity. Alongside these, a passion for the work we do and a desire to help families through difficult times goes without saying.
